The City of Poway's CERT academy recently graduated 23 residents who are trained to provide emergency bottomistance in our community when first responder resources are stretched to the limit. CERT is a nationwide program that educates individuals about disaster preparedness and provides basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue and more.
